Our owner, Vanessa Healey, wanted to create a program that was able to help any dog that needed it. It is our belief that there is no such thing as a bad dog, only dogs who have not yet learned how to communicate. We wanted to design a program that allowed dogs to learn in the environment they are most familiar with. That is why all our training is done in your home. In home training means the dog and handler can both learn in an environment they are comfortable in. This takes out the stress and distractions of public classes and gives both handler and trainer the ability to create a training program that both ends of the leash can understand.
Our Values
Slow is fast
In dog training there is no fast route to getting results. We believe that every dog learns at their own pace and are dedicated to taking the appropriate amount of time for each dog.
Balanced Training
At Silver Screen Canines we believe that dogs learn best when confronted with a balanced training technique. Just like humans, they use all four quadrants of learning to fully understand their training. A dog that completely understands their training and what is expected of them is a happier, healthier dog.
The Human End of the Leash
As much as we love dogs, they don’t have thumbs to call us for help. Here at Silver Screen Canines the human end of the leash is just as important to us as the dog at the other end. We are committed to teaching the teenager with their first dog, the busy mom with a crazy schedule, the college kid who needs their furry companion and everyone in between.
